Potosí
is renowned as the world’s highest city and by the end of the 18th century was considered to be the wealthiest city in all of Latin America. The Spaniards, in their quest for silver, brought wealth, splendor and tragedy to this fascinating city.
A visit to Potosí has to include a Mine Tour and a visit to The Casa de la Moneda. This is the only way to truly understand the tumultuous past of this World Heritage Site. Moreover only 7 hours from Potosí is the Salar de Uyuni, and other attractions of incomparable beauty.
