Tropical Santa Cruz is located in the eastern portion of Bolivia and is relatively wealthy in comparison with other parts of the country. The Department is known for its large corporate extensions of agricultural crops such as sugar cane, rice, soy and cotton. The less known part of Santa Cruz offers the visitor a variety of destinations: Amboró National Park, Samaipata and the Jesuit Mission Circuit are three options available to the traveler.
