TOROTORO NATIONAL PARK
 Torotoro National Park is located in the north of the Potosi District, but its access is through Cochabamba. It has a surface area of 16,570 H. and is part of the central west side of the Mountain Ranges of the Bolivian Andes. Torotoro is a paleontological and geological paradise. With each step it is not surprising to find dinosaur tracks and deep caverns of carstic origin such as the Umajalanta and Chiflonqaqa. Its altitudinal extension varies from 3,600 to 1,900 meters / 11,818 to 6,234 feet; this is what marks Torotoro’s diversified climate of hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. In this area of PNTT, 329 flora species and 49 fauna species have been registered. Among the most important attractions of Torotoro we have:
- Dinosaur tracks. More than 2,500 tracks of different dinosaur species exist in all the area of Torotoro.
- Umajalanta Cave. It is considered in Bolivia one of the biggest caves and of greatest depth. It is located 10 km. from the central village of Torotoro. As one penetrates the cave, one penetrates in a dark paradise of stalactites and stalagmites.
- Chiflonqaqa Cavern. This is also a cavern of great importance and of great beauty in Torotoro. There are huge halls with perfectly conserved stalactites and stalagmites.
- The Vergel. Also known as Waca Senq’a. It is a waterfall, like a cascade, that comes out of the middle of the Torotoro canyon.
- Turtle Cemetery. Here one can find fossils and fragments of 65 million year old marine turtles.
- Cave paintings. Images of animals and other figures that are not yet identified are found in two different areas of Torotoro.
- Llamachaqui ruins. An archeological region that bears traces of the Quechua culture. It is situated at a distance of 19 km. and is at an altitude of 2,400 meters / 7,874 feet. It is the main archeological attraction of Torotoro.

CARRASCO NATIONAL PARK
 Carrasco National Park is situated in the eastern mountain range of the Andes, to the east of the Cochabamba district, and it occupies part of the provinces of Chapare – Carrasco – Tiraque. It has a surface area of 6226 km.2. Due to its altitudinal extension (4717 – 280 meters / 15,476 – 919 feet.), Carrasco National Park has a number of ecosystems, habitats and a great diversity of flora with more than 5,000 species of quality plants; 200 species of orchids have also been found. As for the fauna, one cannot deny how prominent it is. Carrasco National Park is characterized for the presence of birds, specially the guacharo that live in caves. Carrasco is also home to the jucumari or Andean bear, the taruca and the jaguar among many others. In this area one can appreciate the beautiful mountainous scenery, with deep valleys and canyons, torrential rivers and waterfalls as well as scenery of lush vegetation. Its main tourist attractions are: The Wild Life Sanctuary with the Repechon Caverns, natural springs and the ruins of Incachaca.

TUNARI NATIONAL PARK
 
Tunari National Park is situated 4 km. to the west of the Cochabamba District. Its altitude range varies between 2,200 and 4,400 meters / 7,218 to 14,436 The park occupies the Mesothermal Dry Valley region and the mountain ranges of the Tunari, thus constituting an ecosystem with diverse inhabited regions. Its characteristics pertain to the mountain range regions and inter-Andean valleys. The adequate management of the natural resources that are found in this place has resulted in a controlled balance. Tunari N.P. is a highly valued area with land containing water, flowers, fauna and species of the valley region and of the Andean highlands of Bolivia. As for the flora, one can find species of the molle, algarrobo, aliso, kishuara, thola, qhewiña, pine and eucalyptus. Within the fauna: 30 species of mammals, 163 species of birds, 2 species of reptiles and 2 of amphibians have been registered up to the moment. The mountain ranges of the Tunari border most part of the extension of the Central and Lower valleys. It generates much of the oxygen for the city, and is also an important area free of air and noise contamination thus allowing one to enjoy a peaceful and healthy atmosphere.
